Nationwide Credit Card - FInancial Difficulites - AVOID They refuse to help!!!

Just a rant about Nationwide credit card who after getting plan arrangements with my other 6 credit card providers have flat out refused to try and help with getting a payment plan sorted.

Their excuse... They don't take credit card repayments from other providers as an expense!

My income has dropped drastically and my credit card minimum payments smother my income at the moment. All other 6 CC providers have helped by implementing a payment plan and no interest, but not Nationwide...

So I have to continue with my standard minimum payments and accrue interest. I was absolutely astounded they would not accept other credit card min payments as an expense. Just bizarre.

NOTE - I have contacted them twice and both operators could not help get a payment plan option

They have probably done you a favour. Rather than having long term damaging arrangements, you would be better off defaulting on them all.

Head to the DFW boards for advice.

Agreed. Nationwide will sell the account to a third party for a discount. You can then set up a payment plan or offer a reduced lump sum in full & final settlement. For now, stop paying.

They will put a mark on your file that means the whole entry disappears in 6 years

Use the dfw board for ongoing advice.

The worst creditors are those who agree a plan and stick an AP (arrangement to pay) marker on your file as that stays on file until 6 years after the debt is repaid.
