Hey guys, hope this is the right place to post this.
Just received an email from 'Tech Promos' ([EMAIL="techpromos@fantasticminded.com"]techpromos@fantasticminded.com[/EMAIL]) - the header is "Your next laptop on us!"
It says that 'due to your recent online activity yur status has been upgraded and you are now eligible to recieve a new laptop, just click on the link to verify your email details, etc., etc.,'
I'm pretty suspicious of it, especially since I've no recollection of visiting fantasticminded.com or signing up to anything like this.
Thought I should let ppl now, just in case someone on here falls for this ploy and gets their system messed with as a result.

Hey. If you only get one of these types of email then you're lucky
If you get ANYTHING saying "you've won".. or "you're eligible" it's always deletion material
If you enter competitions, make sure you use a seperate email account from a free one such as gmail.com but never mix personal and other email accounts together![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

yeah, that's what I do. been quite lucky never to get too much spam apart from one hotmail account ages ago that constantly got penis-enlargement spam (I'm a girl, so the irony was amusing). but this one came to my mum's a/c and she asked me to check it for her, so I figured there may be others who'd fall for it too.Win 2008 in 2008 member number.....237!!!
