Be very aware of the company you are using

Booked a Family holiday over the Christmas time,, to one of the Philippine islands, as i was already over there for a month,  this package included flights and accommodation,  for 2 adults, 2 children,,  and was pretty reasonable (for a reason) at just under £900 ,,  50 minutes after booking, and having the money taken from my account,  the company, which i had successfully used before, on there App,  informed me that only part of the booking had gone through, (my hotel) and that they would refund my flight money in anything up to 10 days time,,  however i got a refund the next day,, but only for just under £700,   Not Happy,,, tried several times (10, at least) to contact them, via App, e-mail,,  with no success at all,,,  there was no direct contact number for them,,,  so I’m still about £170 out of pocket,,  and in the process of trying to get my bank to help me sort this out,,    I ended up booking a holiday to exactly the same place (hotel) a few days earlier, it did cost slightly more,,  but worth having the guarantee of your complete holiday,,   So while staying at the hotel i checked to see if i was booked in with the 1st company i used,,  and,, of course,,, i WASN’T,,,,,  despite them saying i was,,,      So just be careful , and use a reputable company,,,,  not one that dreams……of E,,,   If you know what i mean !!!!!

You don't need to be cryptic if you want to share a negative review of eDreams - you're not the first and won't be the last - but yes, using cheap foreign travel agents is undoubtedly a risky route and often a false economy.
