I wanted to buy a cheap Amazon Echo device to use as a baby alarm. I looked on Amazon, and they are all over around £50. This came as a bit of a shock, as I bought an Echo Flex last autumn for a fiver!

Is there anywhere to get one at a more reasonable price? Or something that is compatible and would do the baby alarm job?

The Echo Flex was discontinued in 2022 and has always been cheap.

Amazon Echo is not the same as a Flex, as the Flex was intended to be plugged into the wall; the Echo isn't and is substantly bigger in the first place.

We have an echo dot in the kitchen, but we need a new device to go in baby's room. Any device that is compatible with the echo dot will do fine. I wasn’t expecting another steal at £5, but I was hoping for a lot less than £50.

Thanks. That's probably what I should do, then.

Am I using their website incorrectly? I can’t find any in stock.
