L&G also do a global small cap index fund. IT looks very similar to the Vanguard fund both in underlying holdings and charges.
I think you will fuid that small cap funds have somewhat higher charges than large company funds generally - I guess the index changes more, the costs of dealing are higher (eg bid offer spreads) and also there is less competition.1
