Redundancy - Company directors unresponsive

HI all,

I, along with everyone else, was made redundant on 1st Sept 2023, since we were sent home on that day, the only correspondence we have had is a letter (made available at company premises, not even sent out to individuals) a few days later saying the company would cease trading and all employees were effectively redundant from 1st September. An insolvency practitioner has been appointed and we would hear more in due course.
It is now 5 months later almost, i've called the insolvency practitioner numerous times to see whats happening and keep being told that they are waiting for a list of creditors from the company director. Other employees have called and been told the same thing.
The directors only took control of the company 2 months before it was closed so i have no contact details for them other than a name on companies house, where the company is still listed as active.
Is there any way to help speed up the redundancy process, several employees had over 20 years service and now, while we realise it will be left to the government redundancy service to pay, we can't actually claim anything without a CN number from the insolvency firm.

Any advice on how to proceed with this would be gratefully received, i did contact ACAS a few weeks after we were made redundant but was told i would have to 'wait it out'. Do you think this falls into their remit to look into?
