British Gas quietly clawing back money from winter 2022/2023?

OK.  Well you all are smarter than me because I find the billing extremely confusing.  Perhaps you smart people can help me understand this then.

As best as I can tell (and I don't mind posting obfuscated bills here actually) BG have made adjustments to billing period 25 Oct 22 - 31 Dec 22.  Seems weirdly old but ok.  Yes there is an estimated reading in here still - that has not changed - but whatever these adjustment includes credits and new debits.  So fine.  That does not materially change the overall bill.  Just by a few GBPs here and there.

Then obviously at the end of the bill there are new charges.  We used less energy this winter - makes sense it has been warmer as I understand it.  These are obviously valid new charges.  They are move expensive but commensurate with the raised energy prices and loss of government credits.  Fine.

But sandwiched in the middle of those two periods are charges for the period in the middle.  These include debits only.  NOT credits and debits.  What vexes me here is that Mum has already paid these charges and now she is being billed again.  I think THIS is the extra cost we are seeing.

Or am I misunderstanding there billing processes?

Can you post images of said bills, with personal info redacted? I think that would make it easier for people to see and explain what's gone on.
