Hope everyone stays safe.
Just a piece of soffit lost here though I did have to do some tree removal on our dog walk.
Just had a Pensionwise phone call consultation - very worthwhile for anyone that is of that age - loads of tips and things to find out.
Taking DM to visit an old friend this afternoon while DF has a U3A meeting at home; also chance to stop off at my favourite local butchers for sausages!

Thank you for the start @Gers. Hope your power is restored soon.
A few plant pots blown over but thankfully no damage.
Didn't get to sleep until 3am but nothing different there.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Thanks folks. That’s the power back on (10 mins ago). Main problem for me was the silence so I waited for a little lull and popped out to buy a wee transistor radio. I have one but it wouldn’t work.Managed OK with boiling water on the woodburner and am now very hot as it’s mild outside.Seems more / worse to come from tomorrow evening with the next storm so I’m recharging my power banks etc.
I hope that everyone is warm and dry.9 -
Afternoon all. WIld night, didnt get to bed until four hence the late start..I spent a while clearing the recycling from the front garden and rescued a bag and filled that with recycling down the street, and had to break out the big guns rubbish bin to put some of the stuff I collected in, it wouldn't fit in my little one. That's about it though, just some stuff blown around and missing from the back garden otherwise, so got off very lightly indeed. I have gone through the downstaors bathroom cabinet and removed quite a few items of make up I don't use so they're going to a local care home later on this week. I also did a trick mentioned by @Siebrie and melted three lipsticks together to go in a pot, the colours not bad. I made a beef stew in the oven yesterday and mash so thats all ready for me for tonight, OH won't be having any, hes on lates. And that's my day, not a lot. And I thin I have another cold or a continuation anyway, more sneezing and snotting are happening.Gers, glad your electric is back on, it must be horrendous in some areas, I feel for the ones affected, including you..Ruby, hope you get a better sleep tonight. Take care all, batten down the hatches...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi8
