Timber frame house, new French doors no cavity closers and insulation in cavity wall. Advice needed!

At least you have more idea now of how it should be done.
The weak spot is the exposed brickwork on the inner reveal, which is at risk of penetrating damp and being a cold spot.

We thought their positioning was causing the cold bridging we were getting so wanted new doors set a bit further back and the builders words were being the doors in, open up the reveal and insulate it… didn’t realise they meant stuff pir in the cavity and be clueless about how that’s just not a good idea in a timber frame.
It looks nice before we start ripping the thing to shreds again but gonna need a builder for that as hubbys an IT guy and I’m not good at DIY.
No Essex builders here want the job??0
