thankyou yet again you guys are amazing. makes me so angry these scammers get away with this with people that dontknow or are afraid and just pay up.
    Great news!

Just to say I followed the advice here. I copied the text from this forum, posted it via the QR code on the back of the letter about 3 weeks ago.

    Received a letter today.
It's been cancelled (On this occassion) ;-)

Thank you for all the advice, people.
    Great work.

    Hi all,

I have used the excellent template as keeper to appeal against apcoa charges but it's not exactly clear what the process is for hirers/leasees.

I have received a penalty notice from apcoa for dropping someone at Heathrow whilst using a hired vehicle, do I change the template by removing 'keeper' and substitute for 'hirer'?

I'd just use the Edna Basher hirer appeal shown at the end of post 1 of the NEWBIES thread. It will have the same effect and relies on POFA.

  • Just wanted to add my thanks as well. I recently used your template to appeal a parking fine related to the Heathrow Terminal 3 'drop off zone' and just got a reply saying it has been cancelled. Now, what shall I spend my £40 on?! Thanks again.

For any users of Manchester Airport, they are about to get rid of their barrier system and introduce the APCOA ANPR system. So, if anyone really objects to the rip off charges for dropping off, just go ahead and use the drop off and wait for the inevitable NtK and use the appeal as quoted. No more rip off fees for Manchester Airport users.

One of the victims I am helping elsewhere,  who received 2 PCNs in 2024 because the auto-pay system failed has just received a LBC from Moorside Legal demanding £340.
Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:

Took 1 day for my PCN appeal to respond with it being cancelled. Many many thanks for this thread.

I had a PCN from Gatwick, used the template in the first post on this thread.

Just on a side note, I didn't know about the 5 minute consideration period rule! We were dropped off at Gatwick and there for less than 3 minutes. I was trying in the car to pre-pay the drop off charge but you can't, and of course once we were dropped off I just completely forgot. So grateful for this thread, thankyou!
