  • Thanks to everyone on here. I used the template at the start of this thread for a Gatwick drop off PCN. My appeal was accepted in less than a week.

Thank you thank you thank you for this thread. Completely forgot to pay after a stressful drop-off at Heathrow, used the guidance here and partner has received the confirmation email waiving the fee. Valentines lunch out treat to celebrate!

Yet another win for troublemaker22's template :) This was a £60/£100 fine from NCP at Gatwick South. As I was away for a few weeks without seeing the post, the window for appeal was closed. I wasted time trying to enter it on the NCP website appeal form only for it to give erroneous errors about name etc. not being supplied - you can't get to this page without that being entered. So, I used the web Contact form, subject PCN, with a preamble giving PCN no., vehicle reg., name, address and contact details for keeper, then:

"As your appeal webform erroneously states that all the information on the first page of the form has not been entered, I am sending this appeal here, as the keeper. I have been away and have therefore only just read your letter dated 21/1/25. I have not received any previous notification concerning this matter."

Then followed the standard template except for deleting the repeated "the" in point 1 and replacing APCOA with NCP  in 3. This was entered 6pm one day and I received a reply from NCP by midday next day saying "Thank you for taking the time to contact us in regards to this notice. Based on the information provided, this notice has been
cancelled and no further action is required."

Many thanks to troublemaker22 and all those who monitor and contribute to this forum :)

Well, the whole point of this thread is that Registered Keepers cannot be held liable for these charges under POFA (because airport land, statutory control etc).
The parking company don’t know who the driver was and you don’t have to tell them.

So, assuming you are the RK, which option do you think is the right one?

    Hi Everyone,

I have just seen this thread! It's great a simple to understand. I have just copied the 1st post appeal and sent it to APCOA as that is where Luton airport online appeal has directed me. I've just calculated and I am on day 30 from the date of the letter. Do I need to do anything different as I am over the 28 days. Totally my fault for not doing it within 28 days.
  • Thank you very much for your assistance. Can't believe how simple it was
