Has had four incarnations since founding in 2009, and currently only a single director.

iShares SGLN will probably be your best bet for ease and efficiency.
Is there a reason you're searching out almost every thread that mentions gold (mostly very old ones) and adding pretty much the same response to each?
Because multiple new users are asking the same questions, and i'm giving the same advice. Problem?
Because many of the "new users" posts are from over a year ago and where the poster is no longer active. But, you do you.

Giving Financial advice is not recommended on these boards.

FWIW, shortly after starting this thread and taking into account the comments, I decided to go with the Invesco Physical Gold ETF. Happy to be able report that my holding has increased in value by 130% in that time.

I sold my holding of gold sovereigns in London last week for a massive profit. I decided that the time was right, for me, seeing as the price is at an all time high.

I sold 9x 1oz brits, 18 months ago for a 120% profit, thought it was a all time high then. Originally bought them as a hedge against a poor preforming endowment mortgage, but in the end didn’t need them to cover the shortfall.

Bought a new car with the funds from the coins.
So the car only cost me less than 50% plus inflation from  my original coin purchase, quite happy with that outcome then.
Todays prices would have only had to sell 5.

However the return from the FTSE 100 would be better than that, due to dividends.

    S&P 500 is up 235% in 10 years.
