FWIW, shortly after starting this thread and taking into account the comments, I decided to go with the Invesco Physical Gold ETF. Happy to be able report that my holding has increased in value by 130% in that time.0

I sold my holding of gold sovereigns in London last week for a massive profit. I decided that the time was right, for me, seeing as the price is at an all time high.1

I sold 9x 1oz brits, 18 months ago for a 120% profit, thought it was a all time high then. Bought a new car with the funds from the coins.
So the car only cost me less than 50% plus inflation from my original coin purchase, quite happy with that outcome then.

S&P 500 is up 235% in 10 years.0 -
But gold is up 390% over 10 yrs
But who knows what bullion or the markets will preform in the future .
