Problem with Sky remotes

I wonder if anybody could help me with this problem please?

Problem.
We have two sky remotes for one of the q mini boxes. One (the new one) will only do the sound, and the other will do all of the other functions but not the sound.

Background (In case needed)
We had a problem with the mini box linking to the main box. An engineer came out and replaced the router.. They used the new router (4.1 I think) stand up type. They left us with a new remote.
This worked for a little while and then the same linking to main box problem recurred.
I was on the phone to Sky for over three hours and they decided it was the new router. they sent out a new router, (the older lay flat style) which we set up.
Everything seems to work ok apart from the problem with the remotes

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Each needs to be paired with the individual sky Q box (separately). For sound .............remote needs paired to model of TV
