Virgin CC "may charge BT fees"???

Hi

I've just received my acceptance for Virgin cc 0% for 9 months, and plan to do a super balance transfer when card arrives. However I note that the T&Cs state that they may charge for a balance transfer, having read most of the recent threads on here it seems they are not charging fees, but it does seem to depend on who you speak to at Virgin. How can you be sure that they won't charge you a fee? What criteria, if any, do they use to charge or not?

Anyone been charged a fee for a BT with Virgin?

Cheers

They tend not to charge in the first month, people tend to get charged later on, or sometimes if they get someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

I just got my acceptance for Virgin also today. Given me £8K limit :)

I was only after £5K to switch from my 0% Barclaycard which is due to run out in August. I gave all the transfer details on my application form.

Now with the extra £3k avail, I need to get it out and into a savings account with minimal charge. I'm hoping I'll be able to do a STB to my bank account without the handling fee.

Just signed and returned form, so will see what happens when I get the card/cheques.

When I applied over the phone yesterday, the girl seemed pretty clued up I have to say. SHe told me the BTs made on application were free, all others cost 2% max £35.
