It has nothing whatsoever to do with the heating element. I ask again: can anyone recommend a moderately-priced make/model of fitted single electric oven which has worked well for them over a matter of years?

    Perhaps that is clearer...
A bit harsh, when people were only trying to help. This is a money saving site and also the other answers may help others. Sometimes it's the way the question is asked?

A simple line to say, It cant be repaired and i intend to replace would have sufficed.

Hope you find the answer you want.

Ive had my oven supplied and fitted by a local chap to me for £210 its a fan assisted one made by Altimo, He came and checked my old one and said he could have changed the element, but as I wanted a fan assisted one he said I'll get you one after Christmas when the sales are on
Its' a stainless steal one, and it took him less than half an hour to take the old one out and replace with the new one, he also took the old one away for disposal.
I got the recommendation for him from my local FB page as I asked on there for a local firm to do it He had lots of really good recommendations so I got him round and bless him he was excellent. Very pleased with the result and it works perfectly Hope this helpsMine too was fitted into a unit
