Morning all
- 5 here this morning and not meant to get above freezing all day, tomorrow they have said it will be quite mild ! I am hopefully going to meet the AA man again today, he couldn’t stop last week and had to rush off to another job so he said ring him this morning and he will meet me somewhere, it’s not dodgy I promise he is my friends husband who is doing me a favour, I am a member of the AA I just hope the clutch is sticking when I meet him.
Mum has a lady coming today she is a kind of companion / helper who we hope (if they get on) will come to mum once a week for two hours to help her with shopping and trips out, I hope they do get on as it will take a lot of pressure off of my sister and I .
Dinner tonight will be a warming chilli and rice, OH is still working in the empty house and they are laying new concrete floors today, he said he might be late home so I can reheat his dinner if necessary.
Nanny I was so shocked to read of your diagnosis sending you all the love and hugs in the world, it really does hit you when they say that word to you, I hope they can work out a treatment plan, I’m always up for a chat so pm me if you need to xx ❤️❤️Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all, you must be the most loveliest bunch of people on earth, so caring and kind, thank you💗
I didn't have the best sleep last night as I was rather sore and couldn't get comfy then the dratted cough returned again, I just can't get rid of it. I think this will be the last freezing day and we'll be back to rain tomorrow though.
We're waiting for a delivery this morning of a new TV for the bedroom, a bigger one as I can't read the menu without my glasses now, so I'll supervise while Mr Fix It swaps the old for the new. He's now making a beef casserole to go in the slow cooker but I've been up and down as he didn't know where to find the beef, the veg etc, might as well have done it myself as I started this post ages ago ! DD is coming for tea tonight for an update so we'll have the casserole with mash.
Izzy moan away, lovely, I've done more than my share over the years.
Camelot hope things calm down at work.
Snoozer hugs, there's no getting away from this lurgy, everyone seems to have it.
dp1 hope the letter satisfies the job centre lady.
Sorry, have to go, the chef is calling again 🤨 so hugs to the poorly ones, have a good day if you can and apologies if I haven't replied to someone.
Take care all

Morning all, just!Hugs to Nanny, stay strong xCamelot, know the feeling re colleagues at work. Our new boss has been with us for about 4 months now and to put it bluntly he's absolutely useless and when in conversation he goes in all directions so getting a straight answer from his is impossible. Watch this space is all I'm saying!Been out shopping this morning, left the heating on low so came back to a warmish house. Thank goodness the temperature will start going upwards tomorrow, had enough now!Nothing much going on here so I'll wish you all a good day and stay warm x10

Lovely not having to go to work though been busy so far,
Two cars defrosted - very chilly this morning. Dog walk along the canal and chores in the neighbouring village. Weather was perfectly crisp and sunny once my fingers thawed out.Floors vacuumed and steamed, washing on, lunch done!An afternoon of craft shop work is needed I think plus some prep for a Pensionwise phone call on Monday.Sorry for not replying to people’s post, I’m afraid my memory isn’t good enough but hope everyone stays warm and the poorlies soon feel better

Hi everyone and thanks for the start @nmlc xx
Sending special hugs to @nannywindow x
I ate my packed lunch in the canteen today and a lady joined my table. I turned off the podcast I was listening to and struck up a conversation with her. She was visiting the cancer unit for treatment. Found out we had some things in common – DH was at primary school with her DD and one of her friends was a former neighbour of mine in a town 40 miles away! Very small world. She was glad to talk to someone as she’s widowed and doesn’t get out much. I too felt I benefitted from having a pleasant conversation away from the constant drain of moaning I get in the office. A win win!
It’s good to talk.
Have a good evening everyone
