Child benefit - Apprenticeship

My daughter started an apprenticeship at the start of August 2023, we have only just found out that we are no longer able to receive child benefit for her.  We've let HMRC know now that we know!  I am worried that they are going to want us to pay the overpayment back in one payment near on £600 I reckon.  We won't be in a position to pay it all back at once are they likely to allow us to pay back in instalments or reduce the amount we receive for our youngest until they have received the overpayment back?
