I am with Kittie, Christmas is tiring and like ceridwen have been working 5 days a week all year, as well as doing all the housework and cooking, cleaning all year, by last week I was ready to drop! I think it was made worse by catching a nasty flu bug last week. I am so glad it was just the three of us yesterday and that I could stay in my pj's all day.

I think ds2 realy enjoyed himself, he played happily all day on his new wii games and stuffed chocys all day. The highlight for me was having a massive pink lush bath bomb and then getting back into pink pj's and under my new throw!!

aahh! roll on next year :xmastree:

Im glad its over! Im not very Chrtmassy at all, but try my best to make it special for the kids.Cant wait for OH to get the boxes down from the loft to pack away the decs! Hoping for this to be done by the wk end.

DD started with the sickness bug on Xmas Eve, so she wasn't really with it at all on the day.

exOH was nearly an hour late fetching the kids on Xmas day!
Then DS started with the bug last night.

(today) DS is still with his dad, but I had to bring DD home with me (after bumping into them in town), she still looks ill, very pale & temperature.

But one thing which was a nice surprise though, and that was to receive a phone call from my brother who now lives in Florida. He was on the beach in his shorts & flip flops!

  • I hate when Christmas is over. It isn't totally for me as I do have a Christmas night out tonight with friends.

Anyway, the toilet cistern stopped flushing three days before Christmas, our washing machine broke on Chrismas Eve, and the vacum is playing up too (it's only a year old, Dyson are supposed to be good quality too), the washer in our kitchen AND bath both went on Christmas Day.

So, it's been a bit of a nightmare.

Having said that... Christmas Day was nice. I got a couple of really good presents, I cooked, dinner was nice, we played a DVD game for a while, then watched some festive TV with some champagne.

Back to reality today, with repair men all over the place. I'll need a good drink tonight to recover.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR :)

Glad its over as we just seemed to go through the motions - get up 20 month old she opens presents, get beef cooked before leaving for sister's house. Drive to sister's (M1 was bliss!).

Give presents to nephew - he couldn't give a toss as he has too much stuff to play with and destroy. Three toys broken out of his frustration.

Spend rest of day in kitchen trying to get the meal ready with sister, mum and dad hovering and intefering - they want me to do it and I don't mind doing it, but leave me to do it!

When they say they want to eat at 4-5pm why do they start moaning when it's not ready by 3 and why does mum put veg on at 2.30? The meat takes 3 hours and it didn't go in until 2!

Next year we are at home alone or better still somewhere sunny.
