If you phone Virgin and choose the 'I'm leaving' options, you will get connected to a polite chap in India who will try and cut your costs. Tell them you still want to leave and they will connect you with someone in good old Blighty. Then tell them what you want and don't want and see what they can offer. I've always found them to be really good. Better than looking online for what's on offer to new customers.

    Thank you for the info.

I think I have actually left (NOT) a couple of times in the past by doing just as you suggest .. but this time, I really really mean it.

I know what you mean...I always have somewhere to move to before phoning them, they have more competition now than they had in the past. I'm paying less than I did 3 years ago for the same service. :)

    Op here.

I finally did it .. was speaking to somebody in Virgin (possibly the Philipines) for well over 30 minutes .. they tried and tried and tried to get me to stay.

I opted to take out their M250 broadband (I have the M125 broadband now), which was going to be £40+. I explained I had seen it on the website for £27. They eventually agreed. They said I should go online and place the order.

According to them, within 14 days I'll get an email explaining that my old contract has been changed to the new £27/month) one.

If I could find an email of Virgin, or a contact form I would like to email them to confirm that this is the case, but no such options exist. Even when logged in online, there is no easy way to get in contact.

I just hope I don't end up with my existing contract (broadband, phone and two TV boxes) PLUS my new broadband only contract

That seems weird and not the process I've been through. The usual route is via India, who then put you through to the UK retentions/cancellation team as you stick to your 'I'm leaving' position.
The Indian call centre only usually offer one reduction and if you reject it transfer you.

We are paying Virgin £29 a month for M125,  Mixit TV and free weekend calls.   The broadband is much better than Sky which kept dropping out due to old cables etc. in our area.
