I wondered if anyone had any guidance on applying for the disabled band reduction when you have severe ADHD. I am an adult who is diagnosed and living in a two bedroom property alone and I am seeking to make the claim based on the second room being a room that I use specifically to provide me a sanctuary from other areas of my home and i wondered if anyone had experience of making this claim specifically with ADHD and the criteria that was used to make a successful claim,

If you live alone maybe difficultDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I think it's more for things like having to adapt a downstairs room into a bathroom or wet room.1

If you live alone why do you need a seprate room to get away from other areas of your houme?
What are you trying to get away from?1 -
It is highly unlikely you would be eligible. When the criteria mentions needing to use a separate room specifically for a disability it generally means for such things as kidney dialysis etc.
I am a Revenues Officer and have never yet seen it been awarded for the reasons you have stated.1 -
Forgot to add, you may be entitled however to SMI exemption. If you get a disability benefit such as PIP, DLA, ESA etc and your GP signs you as SMI then you can get 100% exemption if living alone. Just ask your local Council Tax office for the SMI form.1
