Morning! Well, isn't it bloody brrr today! Fire is lit but it's a bit smoky in the room. A piece of kindling fell against the fire window so I had to open the door to get it, it fell on the hearth and sent up a load of smoke until I managed ot pick it up and chuck it back in. OH had to get a taxi to work this morning but unfortunately, I'm not sure how he paid for it because I found the tenner he borrowed on the floor in front fo the fire...uh oh...Tentative plans to got o a diy place this morning, I need a toilet roll holder, the other one hascome off and can't be fixed because the little grub screw is cross threaded somehow. I made chicken and chorizo stew for OH last night and I made italian sausage and cannellini beans for me. I skipped the soaking beans step and just boiled them as they were and you know what? They came out fine. If I'm ever in a hurry for them again, thats the plan.

TA, yeah, stay in the warm, who needs that biting cold?! Gers, sad but as above, I expect he was pleased to have some company. camelot, good luck at the appointment. nanny, same to you, fingers crossed for not terrible news..coxy, ostrich? hmm, report back on flavour please Rosy, can you ask them to do that? would they? or your parish council might if you have one? Oh Izzy, you poor thing! you had to do something to get out of running didn't you? all joking aside, take it easy! Take care all, it's wrap up time!

Afternoon everyone
Very cold but lovely and sunny here today, the sun felt warm on my back when I walked down for some shopping. I  had a cuppa at mam and dads first then my mam walked down to M and S with me. I left her there and walked to Asda where I got everything I needed and some reduced bits I didn't. I got the bus back up home again. I'm annoyed with myself as I had a letter to post, asking for the reasons my PIP appeal was refused - I posted it and then when I got home found the full book of stamps in my bag - I posted it without a stamp! I'll write another letter and post it when I go to pick little one up from school. DD enjoyed her first day in her new job yesterday - little one was so excited because her mummy was at work! I'll stay for tea tonight, so that will be nice.

Afternoon All
Late one from me, partly due to be busy with housework and partly due to me being on the phone to BT as our Internet connection went down again yesterday ( it went down last Thursday all day as well ) finally up and running again will see how long it lasts !!!

Trying to get ahead with housework and cooking before next week, have some chilli to make tonight and extra for the freezer

Izzy sorry about your fall do you have any echicnecia ( excuse spelling) ? To help with bruising, hope you feel better soon
Ruby hope Rob is better soon, lovely that you have some warm clothing for him
TA glad DB funeral was such a wonderful send off. Sounds sensible to wait for improvement in the weather before venturing out
Nan hope all went OK  at the hospital
