HSBC, no opening bonus?

Did anyone apply for the HSBC account Martin recommended in November, only then to not get the bonus as THEY opened and processed  the application AFTER closing date??

I'm sure lots of people have failed to get the switching incentive for a variety of reasons. 

Have you spoken to them? 

Have they explained why it failed? 

Last time HSBC had a switching incentive it was dependent on the switch completing by a certain date. 

I missed the completion date, because HSBC were very slow with their processing. I called, they logged it as a complaint, paid me the money as a resolution and closed the complaint. 

Of course that may not apply this time round, but reading the conditions, putting a case together with dates including when you applied, and appealing to their better nature, may just work....

More on this. After promising timelines for the credit to be added to my account & failing. They are now asking me to call their incentive team. I’m sure this was not in their terms and conditions. What an appalling state of affairs!
