Does Paypal charge a fee to buy on AliExpress

I want to buy an item, which costs about a tenner in the UK, but I could get it for just over £1 on AliExpress with a few weeks wait .. no problem.

I'm not sure how safe it is to give bank details but I do have an old PayPal account which is still active, although it hasn't been used since eBay stopped using it.

Would there be any fee to add if |i bought the item using PayPal

That £1 bargain wouldn't be so much of a good thing if i get stung for fees

thank you

  • No fee… I do it quite regularly,
and at £1 no vat - but there are very few aliexpress items for a £1 that don’t add p&p.

Usually they'll add VAT at the checkout for a UK address.  Not that 20p is likely to put the OP off buying it!  But just so they're aware.

Just confirming above. Aliexpress is fairly straightforward. Just check the amount you're paying on the last page.

They seem to have got rid of a lot of the rogue sellers on there but there can still be the odd problem. Also worth noting that we're running into Chinese New Year shortly so if it hits that China shuts down for a week so could slow delivery a fair bit.
