currys faulty oven

I bought a Bosch double oven from Currys in August 2023. So far it has had a faulty light socket (fixed by service engineer), a faulty thermostat (replaced by service engineer) and a faulty fan and element ( still to be replaced as we are in dispute with Currys and want a replacement oven under the terms of the Consumer Credit Act, 2015 and/or the terms of Currys Care and Repair extended warranty) We were misled by the name " 5 year extended warranty". Currys say it only comes into play after the manufacturer's 2 year warranty. But their terms and conditions state that it applies from the date of purchase. So far Currys have ignored our request for a replacement oven Any suggestions?

Reckon you need to write to Currys formally rejecting the goods (the oven) as not of "merchantable quaility" original to Head Office copy to store. Speak to Citizens Advice for key wording and timescales, Currys might be trying to time you out, causing you to miss legal deadlines.
In extremis I would remove the oven and deliver inside the local store with letter attached, again stating you are rejecting the goods, copy to Head Office. I did this with a "stack" computer (those big old things) once on the 1980s. Another route to explore is did you pay on a credit card? Again discuss with CA, but beware of I competence and delay with credit card people, they don't like paying out!0 -
Forgot to say, with my computer problem my solicitor advised that while I had the "goods" my credit card would not pay out. As I had had previous experience of trying to return the goods to the supplier, and failing, I paid a courier to return the goods with a covering letter to my credit card company HQ with a covering letter: here is the faulty computer, now give me my money back! It worked £500 back my account within 2-weeks.0
