I’ve just noticed an extra entry being added to the CSP remedy site - may help?  Looks like they are introducing a form to use to advise if you have been in an earlier scheme.
This is the page being referred to in this post.

I've just been sent a form by the LGPS to capture previous membership in a public sector scheme during the period covered by the McCloud judgement.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

My LGPS is in payment, and they told me it will be recalculated before the end of March, to see if I could be better off - using previous service in a different pension.
  • Thanks to dothenumbersaddup, FB13, Kynthia, and Nebulous2 for the recent comments. Yes, the above link (FB13 post) on the civil service pension page describes my situation exactly - they say they will make an online form available soon, which is good. To update on my situation:
    1. My NHS Pension was updated as per McCloud, as expected (without me having to do anything).
    2. CS Pensions confirmed by email that my civil service pension should therefore be in scope for Remedy, but they have requested a letter from NHS Pensions (on headed paper) to confirm my NHS service dates and to confirm that my NHS Pension (and therefore my CS Pension) is in scope for Remedy. This is fair enough - they need proof, and it seems the NHS and CS Pension schemes do not 'talk' directly to one another.
    3. I have requested the above headed paper letter from NHS Pensions - they say it should arrive within the next 6 weeks. I will then send to CS Pensions, and hopefully this will bring my CS Pension into scope for Remedy too.
    4. Once 1/2/3 are sorted, I am likely to pursue the 'Contingent Decision process', in relation to my 'Club Transfer / transferring my benefits’ question. Civil Service Pension advised that I should sort 1/2/3 first, which seems reasonable.

Thanks again to all for the advice and comments received.

This is the page being referred to in this post.
That page has now been updated to include a form for people who are currently a member of a CS pension scheme but are eligible for McCloud because of a previous non-CS pension scheme to fill in.
