    £1850 on max holding here
  • On full holding I got £2,550 which equates to 5.1% but as a high rate tax payer this was worth about 8.5% to me so I'm happy

Won £1,125 - so somewhere upwards of 2.25%, as I reached full holding during 2023. It will be easier to assess performance in 2024, though I was one of those whose luck seemed to worsen as the prize rate increased.

I've won nothing so far on my parents £1 investment for me in 1959

I usually work out my interest on a rolling 12 months, but by chance, my rolling year and 2023 calendar year gave the same result.  I won £1,175 on an average holding of £21k, which works out at 5.59%.  My last 2 draws were only £50 each, which dropped my return a little - I'd been bimbling around 6% for the last few months.  So I'm happy enough with that - being tax free is an added bonus, although probably won't affect me this year, but will in future.

The funny thing is, I've won more since I dropped down from full holding, so I'm leaving it well alone for now, as it appears to be working okay.  If it drops below my average interest rate across all my accounts, I'll have a rethink - that's my personal benchmark.

Surely that'll always happen (not by chance but inherently) at the end of each calendar year?
