Stopped on red route for a few minutes, other vehicles parked there too...TFL PCN

Hi,

I was driving my car for quite a while and needed to stop to use Restroom in a public house. I stopped on a red route which had other vehicles parked on it. I assumed it was okay to stop but found myself getting a ticket via the post a few days later. I must have been 'parked' there for no longer than 3 minutes.

The ticket has been sent to the registered keeper, my wife...I was the driver at the time as i am insured to drive the vehicle too.

I am not sure i can challenge this using CCTV as i think the judge has recently ruled in favour of TFL.

any help on how to appeal and hopefully get this cancelled would be greatly appreciated.

Red routes are no stop unless there is a dedicated parking place

    Your appeal would fail

Post about it on pepipoo for expert help.  Really only worthwhile if it's a red route bay.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • The High Court recently threw out the argument about red routes and bays but in doing so created a new possibility for challenging PCNs for stopping on a red route generally. The experts on red route parking and other statutory PCNs have created a new forum named FTLA to replace PePiPoo. You should post your case here https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/
