clear score

Hi
I have just been onto my clear score account and have emailed them, as on my account it says a new account has been opened and gives the last four digits of that account. It is with Virgin Money with whom I do not bank and I certainly have not opened an account with them.
In March 2020 I left Yorkshire Bank PLC with whom I had been with for over 25 years, which I understand is now Virgin Money.
Clear Score have said "sometimes Equifax (our credit rating agency partner) can re-add old accounts to their report which were previously removed due to their reporting processes. Please check the account opening date to see if you recognise it as one of your legitimate past accounts. Equifax could have put it on my credit score account wrongly.
I have tried to find a phone number for VIrgin Money but cannot find one as it only gives a number for customers?
What should I do?
I do not use any kind of social media (yes call me a dinosaur).
Therefore wondering if an error.
Thanks Julie

The last 6 years of your credit history should be on your record so if the account was closed in 2020, it should really be on there until 2026. If you go into Clear Score, click on the account if I remember the process and it should show the open and close dates
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
