Landlord declining End of Tenancy Cleaners

Hi MSE Community.
I have a weird situation. I've ended my Tenancy, arranged service disconnections, all the usual. Booked an End of Tenancy clean from a reputable company.
They missed some items and need to revisit, however, the real estate agent is declining to let them. They are insisting I pay full price for their recommended cleaners to visit. I've tried my best to persuade them but they are resolute.
Is this legal? Is there anything I can do?

Is this legal? Is there anything I can do?You need to leave the property as clean as it was at the start of the tenancy. If you believe it was and that the agent is at it, raise a dispute with whichever the scheme is registered with. You may have some recourse from the cleaning company you hired if they did not do an adequate job.0 -
Agreed: Raise a dispute with deposit protection scheme:
Sounds like (again..) a greedy landlord/agent...
Artful: Landlord since 20001 -
Would just like to add...always take photos when the cleaning has been done and check around windows/doors...my daughter who has had a few tenancy deposits stopped because of missed cleaning although she paid for professional cleaners...0

Never understood all this fuss with "professional cleaners". Seems to just be greedy landlord / agents?
One only needs to leave the property as they found it, less fair wear and tear. I've always just made good any damage and given the place a good wipe down and hoover. Never needed a "professional cleaning company".
I can imagine those could be useful if really rushed on the final days or something is heavily soiled but otherwise? Should be something the tenant can reasonably do themselves. Even the oven isn't a big job as long as it has been regularly maintained.1 -
ask for proof that they had a profeshinal clean when moved inDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
