Annual Multi Trip European Insurance

Hello,

I have annual Multi Trip European cover but plan to go to Africa for a couple of weeks. I think it might be easier just to buy a single trip cover for the Africa trip from a separate company rather than changing my existing annual European cover.

Would there be any issues with this e.g. having two separate travel insurance policies. 1 annual for Europe and 1 single trip for Africa from different companies?

I don't plan to travel outside of Europe again this year.

Thanks for your advice.

There shouldn't be a problem having two policies but in the event of a claim, if both policies would cover you then you need to inform both insurance companies so that they can split the amount they pay out.
Like you I have a European annual policy but will be making a single trip to the US in April.  It's actually cheapest for me to buy an annual Worldwide policy.  This means all my European trips will be covered under both policies.
