Hello 👋
just a quick one here before I head off to my part time job that feel like full time at the moment. Haven’t yet decided if there’s a fine layer of snow or a heavy frost but car defrosting will be needed! As usual the weekend was full-on, of my own making mostly, but I think I only skipped one thing on my to do list , and did many that weren’t on there too!Fish pie ready made for dinner which will be a bonus as I already feel tired!
happy Monday all

No frost here though snow is forecasted in the area.Yesterday I made another batch of lentil soup, this time I haven't blended it. Now I need to order more lentils. This morning I'm going back to the exercise class that I couldn't get to when the road was closed by a massive landslide the first weekend in October. The newly built short diversion opened just before Christmas but then I got the lurgy. I'm excited to be going back as I've missed it. I'll take my recycling with me to put in the big dumpster in the car park.My coughing came back a little last night so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's not staying. I hope that everyone is safe, warm and well.8

Morning all. Haven't peeked outside the curtains yet.
Up early today as we need to catch the 9am train to Euston as we're checking out a walk I've said I'll lead for a group of friends next month. It's around the City area of London and I also need to find us a reasonably priced place for lunch, hopefully a pub.
Busy but enjoyable day yesterday, out with the grandchildren at a Country Park. Had to dash off after DGS, aged 5, as he raced towards the lake to see the ducks! Luckily he was distracted by a man feeding them duck food from a paper bag and the man then let him throw a couple of handfuls into the water. The hot chocolate and mince pies afterwards went down well and then we came back to chill and eat the pork from the slow cooker.
Better get moving now. Have a good day everyone and hope the exercise class goes well Gers.10 -
Morning everyone it’s freezing cold here I’m off to meet my friend for a coffee and a catch up soon I need to pop a parcel into the post office we have cancelled sky and they want the sky box and remote back so that will go back today it’s cost us a fortune over the years but we have now decided we don’t watch enough of it to justify paying for it so that’s a bill less. Enjoy your excercise class Gers hope the coughing stays away WL my heart was in my mouth when I read that you have to be quick with little ones they can’t half move when they want to . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all brrr its cold this morning I am off to Costco and a large chinese supermarket i need some vinegar for de scaling the water machine other than that a quick tidy through . Yesterday i took DD2s dog back and had our medicals for our expedition they lasted about 10 minutes tops over zoom for £145 each nice work if you can get it .
Last night ended on a sad note my old next door neighbours daughter messaged me to say that her mum had passed away very suddenly i am devastated to say the least she was a wonderful neighbour and friend to me for many years and one of the reasons i didn't want to move the children are also shocked and upset as she was around most of their childhood and made many dolls clothes /bedding for the girls I will pop a card into her daughter on the way to the shops later
Dinner tonight probably soup and a roll as DH is suffering with a bout of flu like illness cough, runny nose, hot and cold all the time
Have a good day one and all stay safe warm and dry whatever you are up to xxSlava Ukraini10 -

Cold and very frosty here but it’s meant to be sunny later, they are saying sleet and possible snow on Wednesday now what’s the betting we get sleet 🙄
I only have Rob today as the other lady Is poorly again, she had a very low immune system and I think this is her 4th cold since beginning of Dec, we are going to meet another friend and have a walk around a local park and then along the sea front and get some chips from somewhere and then walk back it will be nice to get some fresh air and a bit of exercise.
Dinner tonight will be macaroni cheese hopefully using up all the last bits of cheese from Christmas, we can do garlic bread and some salad with it.
OH has the day off today to take his dad to the eye clinic and dd is off all week so I expect dd will cook as OH will be at the hospital.
Gers enjoy your class xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Hi everyone, Bella I'm sorry for your loss. We had a busy weekend, sorting out the loft because we are having solar panels fitted next week with a battery going in the loft. Unfortunately, with Steve being a pack rat and also having to accommodate a lot of baby stuff up there it was stuffed. We went up and didn't know where to start so we have hired a storage container for a month and are taking everything down there to be sorted through, listed and then put back in an orderly fashion, a bit like a mini Sort your Life out programme. I've already culled a fair amount, why I ever kept not only my wedding day cards but all the acceptance and regrets cards I will never know. It pointed up some things though because quite a few of the acceptances were from people we didn't know, friends of our parents, whereas our kids only invited people they knew personally. It was nice to look through them though. I was also going to bin the letters and cards Steve and I exchanged while we were "courting". He left university two years before I did and of course there were only land lines at that time so we had to write to each other. Laura told me I mustn't but it's ok for her, she won't leave a paper trail for people to read in all it's embarrassing glory. I think I shall have to read through them and cull any real embarrassments. We'll be continuing with that today, both children will be at nursery so we'll have some time to do it hopefully. Have a good day.9

@snoozer - could you scan all those letters and cards so that you have them still whilst decluttering the paper. I have a flat bed scanner but also use an app on my iphone which then emails the pdf. The one I have is called Tiny Scanner but there are plenty out there. Good luck in the loft!I've washed my hair and then emptied the DW. It's blooming perishing here though the sun is starting to shine behind some grey clouds.10

Morning everyone
Sunny here again this morning but really cold.
I've just had a catch-up as I didn't get on yesterday as little one was here. We went down to mam and dads yesterday morning then, after little one had a nap, DD picked us up - we had a play at their house then DD made a delicious roast pork tea. She doesn't usually have a nap at my house, but I needed her to yesterday! She's on steroids again for her chest and they made her so hyper - I was worn out. I told DD she'll have to warn her teacher this morning or she'll be getting told off all day.
I've a few jobs to do then work at lunch time. Had a nice chat with eldest DD yesterday, I hadn't spoken to her all week. She'd had a really busy week at work with lots of fellow Puma staff from around the world visiting the head office in Germany, where she works. Mind there were three parties and meals out in the week so I don't think it had been that bad!
I'd better get some jobs done.
Oh well done Izzy on your run!
Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning all. Hugs to the poorlies and sorry for your loss Bella.
Blue sky and sunny here. Very cold. Shall try to get outside today. Felt so strange yesterday. Not unwell exactly but ear still hurting and throat slightly sore. Got all ready to go for a walk, did a few things round the house and suddenly felt so weak I had to lie down . Fell asleep and the fire alarm went off in the block . False alarm, but I felt really shaky and had an early night. OK today I think.
Cottage pie to make for tea.Bedding to iron and another load in WM.
Better get on with it . Keep warm everyone, and have a good day .
