Tree damage before start of new insurance

I agree with Annemos - the angst and frustration of dealing with disputed insurance claims over the home that your children inhabit is unimaginably undermining (excuse the pun!).
However, this is the first time I have heard criticism of the FOS so would like to hear much more about that process from Marley or anyone else who can add to the knowledge of FOS responses to Claims. ps thanks already to Annemos who has already given a lot of support regarding the FOS.1 -
Good afternoon.
This is why I recommend searching out lots of cases. To get an idea if we are likely to succeed. And why a particular case has failed.
Sometimes what we think is logical, does not turn out to be how the Industry works. Or we have a particular misconception.
So for example, in my Tree Case. My first reaction was that the Council would definitely be liable for all the damage and would have to pay for it all. That is quite seldom the case and there have been legal cases on just why that is.
Reading though your case, I am not an expert Marley. But it smells of Contractor shortcomings, too. And the FOS needs to see our own professional advice from an expert, if we are proposing that something has not been done correctly by Insurance Contractors. (I had to do that over a severely negligent placement of helibars.)
But the trouble with your case, is that as it was seemingly going wrong so often, you would have to keep hiring your own experts. What an impossible task that would be.
