Deep clean following insurance works?

Options
My home flooded last year and I will hopefully get my home back after nearly 9m.  The builders are doing a builder's clean, but during the works lots of the home was not properly covered and there is dust everywhere.

Also the loft and contents are heavily covered in dust when they removed the ceilings without emptying the loft.

Are the builders expected to do a deep clean or am I?

Thanks

I would expect it back in a decent condition.
are the builders instructed by you or the insurance?
    have you enquired already?
  • The principle of insurance is to put you back in the position you were before the incident happened, in this case the flood. As lisyloo asks have you done this through your insurers? If you appointed the builders with no reference to your insurers then it's up to you to chase the builders, but they would likely just add this cost to their invoice to you. If it's a quick and simple wipe down with a damp cloth that you could do yourself then don't push it.
