When I messaged admiral for my first overpayment they gave me a sort code and account number to use. I then confirmed with them it's ok to keep using those details for any overpayments which I did. There was no limit to the number or amount of overpayments I made.

I love Chase, I use it in a similar way.

Thank you for the advice, that's really good to know as feel a bit silly contacting them every time I want to over pay £10. Do you remember how long it took for your online account to update after the overpayment? I like to see the numbers go down 😂 Thank you

It was one of those annoying ones that took 2-3 days to update 😏
But, if remember correctly  - it's been a couple of years, they do an interest update and give you back a few pennies everytime you make an overpayment.

Thank you ☺️ just waiting for the £100 I overpaid a couple of days ago to update so I’m 100% sure the details are correct before a make a bigger overpayment. As only just refinanced a different loan my first payment not due until end of February but want to make a payment this month too 😉

  • It’s pay day and having the urge to do an online shop for things I don’t need so writing my thoughts down here instead.  It’s almost like I’ve got anxiety about running out of things, just put the dishwasher on and noticed I only had 30 or so tablets left and even got to the point of putting them in my online shopping basket. They will easily last another month at least - only myself and husband live here.

Ive moved £200 a week into 4 different chase accounts which is my budget for this month.  Took longer than I thought as got flagged for fraud on my bank account 😂

Spent £26 but that’s because I’ve decided to do the £1 a day challenge for 2024 so just needed to catch up 😉

I have £10 in my 52 week challenge savings account too ☺️

Just about to pay £1,000 off my loan - recently refinanced so no payment until February but want to get ahead.

Out for tea this evening but paid for by my husband as it’s my birthday this weekend.

Ok feel better now and emptied the online shopping basket 😜

Yay, well done! I rememeber in the 'spendy days' (term coined by @foxgloves I think), I would have a full on shopping spree when I got paid. It was the wait after 3-4 weeks of being skinned after the last pay/ shopping spree.

Happy birthday, enjoy your treat! 🥳🍰

  • Today is my birthday - my aim is to be debt free by my next birthday and have some savings.

Ive signed up to 20 no spend days in February, looking over what I’ve spent in January this should be relatively easy as long as I don’t buy chocolate 😂

Have family coming over for lunch which will be nice. They live about 30 minutes away so try and see them every month and they always come to us as we have the bigger house and I don’t like to leave the cat if I don’t have to 😂

just about to set the table ready for their arrival at 1pm.

Have a great Sunday everyone and let’s get this debt paid 👍

  • Weekly budget going well so far. Bought Valentine’s Day card today from Card Factory and googled a discount code and got 10% off. We have agreed not to buy presents but we will go out for a meal at some point during the month (not on the actual day as everything is overpriced)

The only disappointment I’ve had really is not had a survey to do now since Friday and I was doing really well on the survey front.
