LG TV replacement screen ?

I knocked over a chair into the screen of our 2019 LG TV and now it's all psychedelic. As the inner workings of the TV are still fine I hoped I could find a replacement screen online but doesn't seem to be a thing. Would be grateful if anyone has found a source to buy from as seems such a waste to chuck it rather than repair. It's a 43UM7500PLA model.

I share your pain but they don't make these things to be repaired these days, chances are even if you found one buying it and getting it fitted would cost more than a new tv.

Stick it on eBay or similar, there's often someone who buys these things to play with. Maybe somebody with a good screen but broken electronics!

  • You'd probably end up paying more for a replacement screen than a new TV, and you'd have to fit it yourself or pay someone else to.
You may be able to get a few quid on eBay for it, as it's not a particularly old model.
Often, older fully working 40inch tvs can be picked up for next to nothing on eBay, if you find a local seller

Not cost effective, even if available.

Problem you have too is most of the tellies on the likes of ebay also have smashed screens as this is a very common fault , in fact there's one on there right now for £20 which is your exact model

I wouldn't rate your chances selling it unless a repair shop wants the parts out of it

    Personally won't bother fixing it...
43" TV can be found under £250.
Used one on local Grumtree/ facebook market place would be cheaper.

If you open the back you'll see that there isn't much in a telly other than a screen nowadays!
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
