No frost this morning, the temperature may even be in plus figures, I even woke up too hot in the middle of the night.Yesterday I caught up with Reacher and started to watch Criminal Record with a very sinister Peter Capaldi character. Now I'm contemplating shopping but I don't actually need anything, it'd just be nice to be out amongst people for a wee while. I'm still coughing a bit now and then so still need to be careful.I wish every well today.12

Morning @Gers Yes they do, and they go just as fast!Been up since very silly o'clock as just couldn't get back to sleep after a loo break so it's going to be a loooooong day!Making chocolate fairy cakes today. At least that'll warm the kitchen up so I don't have to put the heating on so early as it's brrrrr this morning.Apart from stripping and making up the bed and doing a bit of ironing a boring day today.Hope everyone's keeping well x10

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers. It's cold here but doesn't seem to be frosty, the sun is due to shine today with no rain so the washing can go out when it's finished. Bed to change too - need to make the most of it!
I was absolutely done when I got home from work yesterday so did nothing. My favourite Afghan family brought me some really delicous food at 3pm so I had it for my dinner - a sort of paratha stuffed with either leeks or spring onions (couldn't decide which) and a very garlicky/minty dip. It was such a kind thing to do and means such a lot, there's enough left for lunch today too.
I'm off for a swim this morning then will do some shopping, the fridge is looking a little empty. Just fresh stuff to get as I stock up at the end of the year with toiletries, etc as January is about 9 weeks long!
Sorted out the broadband and mobile contracts yesterday, the mobile one went down by £2.60 and the broadband up by £1 so there's a tiny saving there - always worth a phone call!
Hope the injured and poorly are getting better, have a good weekend. Take care. XX

Thanks for starting Gers.
Morning everyone.
Not quite so cold but not got off to a good start today.
Stripped bed . Decided to have cooked breakfast as planned very long walk today so no lunch. Set fire alarm off.
Decided to change some of water in big fish tank and tube slipped out of the bucket soaking the carpet . Grabbed ( clean yesterday ) bath towel to mop up big puddle. So now got wet carpet ,more washing ,probably disgruntled neighbours. And I feel like going back to bed as I have a sore throat ! My fault for trying to do several things at once. Not a good idea.
But I won't, i will go out as planned . Going to clean bedroom and remake bed. Then set off for walk.
A chicken stir fry for dinner tonight ,using up chicken from freezer and some peppers that are going a bit wrinkly. I also resisted buying a book from Amazon that really appealed . So that's good . Only £2.99 but a small win. I'll see it in a CS one day .
Best wishes to everyone troubled or poorly.
Have a good day all.12 -
Morning all, thanks for Gers start to the day
As usual, loads planned for the day/weekend starting with a bacon and tomato roll! A long dog walk in the forest will no doubt be followed by a long dog wash. I’m also wanting to finish some craft sewing, recycling crafts and woodwork (well chopping some wood on my new mitre saw - I’m still practicing before I use some ‘good’ wood).Dinner is sorted with some leftovers, salad and a rummage in the freezer for the last bits of Christmas party food.If I feel like it there’s cleaning to be done bit that’s last in my list at the moment 🤭
have a good weekend everyone

Morning everyone
Sunshine forecast for today so I'll put last nights' washing out on the line. I've a few jobs to do this morning then I'll go into town as I'm getting my hair cut at 11.30. DD will drop little one off sometime this afternoon and she'll stay for a sleepover. We'll make a pizza together for tea - she loves doing that.
It seems to have been a long week at work with doing the extra morning shift so I'm ready for a lazy weekend.
Camelot - your food sounds lovely, very kind of them.
Hope everyone has a good weekend x11 -
Morning all
Not quite as cold here this morning but still a chill in the air, wm is on and doing its thing so the washing can be hung out for a while later, there is another load to go in after.
I have to take mum to the hospital later for her eye injections 🤢 poor thing she said it doesn’t hurt but just uncomfortable, I will stop on the way home and get her a few bits of shopping.
Dinner tonight will be chicken curry and Bombay potatoes, the potatoes are already made, OH made a double batch last time so they will just need re- heating later, I must remember to get the chicken breast out of the freezer after this.
Im going to look at flights later for our summer holiday if I can find a decent one I will book today.
Camelot that food sounds lovely xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -

Good morning everyone. Cold feel this morning when I ventured out for my paper. Washing done and on the airer as I don't think there is any chance of it drying outside.
Not a lot planned for today, I have some sprouts to wash and blanche for the freezer, they are the last of my vegetables dug up so I can now start to think about this season's planting.
Hope the park run/ walk went well Izzy.
Good wishes to the poorlies and those with worries.
Take care xx11 -
Hello all, it's a grey but dry day here with no sun forecast. I had another broken sleep last night with seveeral coughing bouts again. I too need to change the bed but I might leave it till tomorrow and do the little bit of ironing instead. Such excitement !
I asked Dad over for lunch tomorrow but he declined as he's still under the weather too. Today we might have just a simple pie and chips, the hm curry sat a bit heavy on my tummy yesterday.
Have a good Saturday everyone, gentle hugs to the poorly ones, sad or lonely.
Take care all
nan xx.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9
