Even reposting the letters with "not known here" may not fully get you out of trouble. There was time when I got lots of mail for other people. I reposted the letters with "not known here". Even banks persisted. Shortly afterwards, I got a visit from the local council questioning my single occupancy discount. A credit reference agency had told them that there were lots of people living here. I was particularly amused when I got a letter for someone else saying that he had won a big lottery prize overseas. You do not want your address to be associated with lots of dodgy goings on.
