i have a cheap and cheerful one from either Lidl or Aldi. I use it when making large amounts of jam, chutney etc. and it saves a lot of time when I need to peel a lot of apples. For an odd apple or 2 I don't bother.

I've also got one and it works well. The only downside is that it's a spiky awkward shape to store in a drawer. It's a good idea to slide the spikes that hold the apple well back to avoid being stabbed as you rummage around searching for other things

Its ok, and certainly quicker than doing it by hand but the "pealing" takes a lot more of the flesh below off than a normal speed peeler would1 -
