UC renewal of tenancy query

Hi everyone! I'm receiving housing element of UC and my contract expires in March. Will I need to provide UC with new contract? When I applied to UC a couple of months ago I provided the contract which stated tenancy end and then its rolling month to month. Also the current contact includes anther person who has moved out so would they need to see new contract in just my name? Thanks!

Normally no you wouldn't have too, but you should submit new contract as it's a major change.

Is the other person who moved out a partner / now-ex partner? That will mean changing from joint to single UC.Mayamaya100 said:Hi everyone! I only put the claim once he moved out as couldn’t afford the rent so it’s always been a single claim1

It’s always been a single claim, I guess my question is do the review when contract ends and chase up for new contract for claimants.HillStreetBlues said:Normally no you wouldn't have too, but you should submit new contract as it's a major change.0 -

If/when you get a new Tenancy Agreement then tell UC, particularly if it changes from a joint tenancy to a single tenancy.
Don't do it before then, they are not interested in any change until it happens.Although the Landlord should in this case give you a new one to reflect that you are now there on your own you may not get a new TA, some landlords don't give a new one in which case your tenancy automatically in law continues as a Statuatory Periodic Tenancy (SPT) on the same basic terms as the original TA.In either case if your rent goes up (or down) tell UC when that happens - UC do need to know when the rent changes.
UC don't really need to know if that happens, but you could tell them anyway. If you are already being paid at the LHA rate then it may not change how much UC Housing Element you get, but you should tell then anyway. There is a section on your UC account for reporting changes of circumstances.
