Hi,
please be gentle I’ve had enough of this misery 😂
I claim careers allowance. I have recently started working part time of £137 a week. This job is in a school and term time only.

So I am under the weekly bracket. But not their monthly bracket on a 5 week month.
I’ve recieved a letter today and now their saying I can only earn £602 a month but my wage is paid on the same date every month and on a 5 week month I am over the threshold. But the weekly is still only the weekly amount. I am in bits I’m trying to better myself, have some time away from the endless appointments ect when my son is at school yet I’m being punished for a 5 week month that’s is out of my control.

Anyone have any idea will I be without careers because of this?

I’ll also add I have to claim my hours at the end of every month but the wage per week will always be the same.0

Have you asked if there's a way of having it noted how wages are calculated to show that you remain under the weekly limit?Signature removed for peace of mind0

I’m going to keep pushing it as I’m besides myself. Because it is all very confusing.Savvy_Sue said:Have you asked if there's a way of having it noted how wages are calculated to show that you remain under the weekly limit?0 -
The government page I found makes it look like they should be able to cope with this - maybe even looking at the average over the year.'If your earnings are sometimes more than £139 a week you might still be eligible for Carer’s Allowance. Your average earnings may be calculated to work out if you’re eligible.'This page also looks like a way can be found round some monthly earnings looking a bit high at first glance:
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Thank you for sharing this. Honestly I’m hoping that because it is a weekly or the same, under the weekly threshold pay that I’ll get it. The people on the phone seemed very abrupt.theoretica said:The government page I found makes it look like they should be able to cope with this - maybe even looking at the average over the year.'If your earnings are sometimes more than £139 a week you might still be eligible for Carer’s Allowance. Well you’d think they’d be able to calculate it but apparently not.Savvy_Sue said:Have you asked if there's a way of having it noted how wages are calculated to show that you remain under the weekly limit?0
