Best way to organise and rename photos on Chromebook?

Is there such a thing as a free app or whatever for Chromebooks which will allow me to open a folder of images, drag/drop them into the order I want them in then rename them sequentially?

  • Can you provide an example of filename and the ideal outcome?

I do not know of an app to do that but it's easily done with a simple bash/shell script.

Thank you, but I'm an ancient technophobe who really doesn't want to get into scripts and whatnot.  There seem to be plenty of programs to do it on a Windows machine, but I haven't managed to find a Chromebook equivalent!

If you aren't able to give an example and describe your outcome, perhaps you could mention some of these Windows apps. This would allow someone to recommend a Chrome alternative.
