    Cannot even start a claim if you are in n.ireland..no idea why..website here listed 2 companies that cover n.ireland but when i enquired they said court said n.ireland residents do not qualify.Had a renault diesel for over 7 years.

    Scottish claimants had to use a separate company for claims  under Scottish courts system.

    There is no such thing as a "UK Court" (lets ignore the Supreme Court - formally the House of Lords)

    The UK is made up of 3 legal jurisdictions... Scotland, N.Ireland and England & Wales, each have their own courts however all three ultimately go into the Supreme Court as the highest court in the UK which can heart cases under all three jurisdictions. 

    The President and Vice President of the Supreme Court comes from a Scots Law background. One of the judges comes from a N.Ireland background and the rest are E&W. 

    Not touched on N.Ireland law too much, I believe it's fairly close to E&W in principle, though has different legislation whereas Scots law is materially different (at least in civil law)
