ParkingEye asking to confirm driver!

Hi i have read all the advice but feel I need guidance to continue. I went to restaurant and triggered the private car park camera. I didn’t see the reg machine at the restaurant to put my car details in. I complained to restaurant who said they can’t get the fine cancelled. So I appealed to parkingeye, I said I can’t confirm or deny who was driving at the time I am the registered keeper. I then said upon inspection of the car park the signage is unclear and no contract was established. They have replied saying in order to continue we want to know who the driver is, failure to do this would mean the fine falling on me the registered keeper. Any advice on my next step?

Can we see the first letter (not any reminder) sent to you by PE please. It will probably be headed 'Notice to Keeper'. Please redact any personal identifying details and the car's reg number. Please leave all dates showing, and we need to see both sides please. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi coupon mad! Nice to meet you. I’ve just re-read it again. A from what I can gather I am to respond reiterating there will be no admissions to who was driving. Sorry about being ditzy just threw me off guard with their threat of if you don’t name the driver we will have to implicate you.0

...look: that's the user's first post! Look how many I and other regulars have made. YOU have more posts than this unknown newbie!
New posters are always welcome here if trying to help but they even call it a 'fine' which is worrying. Their point 1 is also misleading because it's not necessarily true at all in your case.
Who said the POFA applies in your case? It's not automatic. We've no idea if this is a POFA worded PCN anyway because you didn't show the wording on the back.
Nothing they say adds anything you didn't already know, does it? You already know how to appeal from the NEWBIES thread and if you've already done the first appeal and PE are asking who was driving you IGNORE that.
