SilverOldie I still find the returning to an empty house the hardest part of it all
My SIL leaves the radio on low when she goes out ,is sure it helps .
I tried several times and it just seemed to emphasise the emptiness somehow ,just shows we’re all different I suppose .
Heavy frost here this morning,I have a funeral to go to in the market town 17 miles away at lunchtime.
I’m really hoping the roads are ok .
stay safe and warm everyone9 -
Morning all, I wish that biting wind would disappear, it's freezing ! This morning I have a sm delivery, 2 items are OOS and there are 2 subs, but nothing major. The house is looking tidier and there's no washing to do so after I put the shopping away the day is my own. I don't know what we'll have for tea, I'll make a decision when the shopping arrives, there's bound to be something that will take our fancy.
Have a good day all, hugs to the poorlies, the lonely or sad. I shall send the Sandman out to the sleepless tonight.
Take care all

Morning everyone
I was so tired last night that I went to bed, with my laptop to watch, just after 7pm last night - I fell asleep and that was me till almost 8am this morning! I must have needed it. My letter came from PIP this morning so I'm going to ask for a statement of reasons explaining why I didn't get it. I've asked for an appointment at the job centre next week as DD has told me about something else I might be able to apply for while I can only work a few hours.
It's a nice bright morning here but cold when I popped out to the bin. I've a couple of jobs to do and then have work at lunchtime.
Silver Oldie - it must be very hard for you - you have inspired me to make more of an effort to speak to people when I'm out, as some days if I don't feel well it's easy to just not bother. I had a nice chat to an older lady while I was waiting for the bus home from shopping yesterday - I hope people make the effort to speak to you too, even if it's just a hello.
Hope everyone has a good day x11 -

Sometimes someone saying hello is the only person I speak to in a day and it does mean a lot.
@Suffolksue I find myself calling " I'm home" and then it hits me.If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
Morning everyone Taff I haven’t lost count 50 Days bosses wife is in the process of having a nervous breakdown at the minute well she hasn’t got long to have another couple before I go .I’ve just got in from one of my cleaning jobs it’s a dark miserable day but it’s not as cold I hope it stays like this for Saturday for my park walk ooops I mean run my son has printed my bar code off and told me not to bother loosing it as he has printed a spare one . In other news we have just paid nearly a thousand pounds for the car to be serviced and mot it needed a bit of all sorts but to be fair its 9 years old and never cost us a penny and these things have to be done and my little dog has been to the vet and she has a heart murmur they think she has a leaky valve so she needs to be scanned before they decide weather she can be sedated or not to have her teeth cleaned she won’t lose any they don’t think I hope not she already had 13 taken out but it’s her gums and her breath is really bad of course the insurance won’t now pay out as they said it’s an ongoing issue so I will be cancelling it and just save up for anything she needs £1500 so we have had an expensive start to the year she goes in next week at the minute she’s laid flat out in front of the log burner on a furry rug that’s alright I will just go out in all weathers to clean to pay her bills who said it was a dogs life . Silver Oldie I’ve always worked with the public and you will be surprised at how many people walk around shops just for a chat I will talk to anyone as you can probably tell I never shut up and it takes nothing just to say hello it might just make somebody’s day keep going out for your walks it will get easier and the weather will brighten up fingers crossed very soon . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Our heating came on during the night - was set at 15. I had a bad night coughing again.
Mr F took a trolley full of stuff to the charity shop. I finished some cloth shopping bags that I was making. I was planning what to sew next - when - got a text from middle Dd - could I make 3 story sacks for reception class.
After lunch I sorted out more of the stuff I had in my hall way - brought back from SA - too good to go in fabric recycling - filled the shopping trolley again so Mr F has gone out with it.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Feels like today has been the longest day…..felt like home time at work and it was only midday!Dentist afterwards and no issues which is good, just an inlay to put on a tooth to to prevent future possibly issues. That’s all folks (for today) - head is too tired to think, and VERY glad I predicted how I’d feel and made tonight’s dinner (ham leek and celery pasta bake) yesterday!AA6

Good Evening
Went back to work for 2 nights on Monday, still coughing with this lurgy & still feeling very tired. Trying to rest up as I’m back on Saturday for 4 late shifts.Went to the cinema to watch Wonka today, friend had free tickets so we got premier seats. Took own sweets & drinks in so MSE. Also managed to get a pair of white trainers from office for £9 which will do for Summer.
Cleaned the bathroom totally yesterday as haven’t felt up to doing much since Christmas so it needed a good scrub.
Hope those feeling under the weather are improving. Silver oldie, keep going out for walks, I always say hello to everyone when I’m out and about, it became ingrained when I moved south some years ago and didn’t know anyone. Since getting my little dog I have met so many new people.Hugs to everyone. Take care.7
