Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Cold and frosty this morning, the stars are twinkling away out there. I had to go out to open the side gate for the coal man who should be delivering today.
I had a terrible night's sleep, I really shouldn't watch anything on the TV in the evening that makes me think too much!
Hoping the poorlies are recovering, we have a few folk at work who now have the lurgy, not a great start to the year.
No washing today but may have enough for a load when I get home from work, I'm trying to keep on top of it but I really don't know where it all comes from!
Have a good day, take care. XX13 -
Ah, the stars! They were so bright last night. One of the joys of cold clear skies.Yesterday I splashed Jeyes fluid over the flagstones in my back garden and then forgot to go back out to scrub them. It was so cosy under my electric throw. Once I was dressed I decided to stay in as I have to go out today so I could do everything in one journey. Instead I knuckled down to wrapping two small parcels which have been hanging about too long. They are now ready to go. I also sorted out to return of the old iPad as the kit for it arrived. Three things to post. Then I enjoyed the lentil soup.I'm not going to the pool session (again) today as I'm still taking the ABs so want to finish them first. Instead I'm having my BIAB nails infilled, After that I'll pick up the odd things I need.I hope that those with the lurgy are mending.13

Morning all
Cold and frosty here this morning but then tomorrow is meant to get up to a balmy 6 deg - we won’t know ourselves !
Off to collect Rob today and take him to work we are in the cafe today so it will at least be warm. I am very much looking forward to a day off tomorrow and not having to go anywhere.
Dinner tonight will be a made up concoction including chicken breast, tapenade, cream cheese and pasta, it’s just some things I have had for a while which need using, the chicken is fresh though 😬
House is fairly tidy I will have a quick clean through tomorrow and then a good clean Saturday, I will put a wash on when I get back later.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning folks. Brr it's supposed to be marginally milder today but, as yet, it doesn't feel it. But no frost here just a dark and miserable day in store.
Another going nowhere day but I have the excitement of cleaning the kitchen and bathroom.to look forward to! Not! I currently have a light wash on the go which will festoon the back bedroom with the dehumidifier doing it's job, to be followed by the towels and mats.
I have yet to rummage in the freezers for todays eats. I am psyching myself up for the dash into the cold garage. I am fancying fish today Accompanied by some air fryer wedges I think. Soup, cheese and crackers earmarked for lunch.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad and lonely. Take care all keep warm and safe xx

Morning all, Very frosty here this morning.
Busy day yesterday, with my Larder session, doing a couple of deliveries and then after lunch I returned a borrowed instrument to a friend, along with a cake I'd made her as a thank you. She then offered me a lift to the pub session in Wendover on Sunday night so that was welcome.
Today I'm having lunch with 3 friends from when we all used to work in our local Adult Education department. I'm hoping to have something more substantial so I don't have to cook tonight.
Hope people are starting to recover now from feeling poorly.
Take care everyone.10 -
Morning all, not as cold here today. I'm expecting my O order shortly so might have to dash off. I am off out to lunch with my oldest friend, got postponed a couple of times. I was just hoping DS didnt need me to look after DGD today as he spent all afternoon at a& e with her & her sore foot as she was sent home from school. Anyway nothing broken but soft tissue damage. DH and I therefore had to go and pick DGS up. I haven't been to school to pick him up for ages due to the men working on that side of town. He launched himself at me when he saw me and gave me a big hug, always nice
DGD must be feeling slightly better today as she's not here. I just had time to visit the retail park to pick up a birthday present for my friend today, I'd already made a card. Some good bargains in TK max! I got a new bag, been looking round for ages so not on impulse
Chicken pie for the men last night, salmon salad for me.Dp1 sorry you are still feeling so rough - hugs.Right better go, take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start nmlc
Yesterday was bright and sunny and not quite as cold so the walk was good. Don't think I'll ever get used to going back to an empty house.
Thank you for the dog walking suggestion Taff.
Not much happening.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
Good morning all.
Best wishes to the poorlies. And those who are unhappy or struggling.
Dull and cold here. Just off to buy veg and few other bits .don't really want to go as had the worst nights sleep ever . But flat tidied and soup for lunch ready . Pasta ,ham and mushroom from freezer ( Christmas left overs ) for tonight. I've used my Christmas voucher ,taken the plunge and ordered a yoghurt maker . I would once have bought that without even thinking ,with my cc!
Have a good day everyone. Well done SO. You are an inspiration although you may not feel that you are x✨️ ❤️

Good morning and thanks for the start @nmlc x
It’s another frosty morning and the bus was packed. Luckily I get on fairly soon after it leaves the bus garage, so I got a seat. I am attending another induction session this morning with the promise of hot drinks and biscuits! Need to ring Mum tonight as she has her other cataract being done tomorrow. DDad has been having some physio for his lungs – have had videos from Stepmum! Still waiting to see what’s next for his cancer treatment.
Dinner tonight is chilli beef stir fry which is quick and easy.
Everyone seems to be very productive this morning with Post Office, cleaning and shopping trips. I did manage to put a wash on before work – I too don’t know where it all comes from @camelot1001
Sorry to hear about DGD’s foot @RosyRed x
Glad you enjoyed the walk yesterday @silver-oldie xx
Right best get on.
Get well soon hugs to all the poorlies.
