Nationwide App

I’ve recently opened a Nationwide account.  The app keeps freezing and it won’t open - even at home when my connection is secure.  It’s really annoying.  I’ve not had this with other banking apps.

has anyone else had this?

  • The Nationwide app always is slow to open for me, but does load eventually without freezing.
  • Works fine for me, every time. No delays or drop-outs.

    Yes it’s working for me too. Could it be the internet connection or making sure you have the latest update on your phone? Some apps might not work properly on older software. You could also try to see if you have the latest version of the app or maybe reinstalling it might do something?

    Assuming you downloaded the latest version of the app from the store, what is your phone (make/model) and OS version e.g. Android 13 or iOS 15 etc?

    iPhone 13 so don’t understand why it’s so bad for me.  Anyway I’ve reloaded it again and taken off the Face ID do i hope that helps.

    Yes! I have to keep re installing app. It works for a few weeks then freezes and then asks to restart "due to technical problem" but this just does not do anything so I'm forced to re install. 🙄
  • Is iOS up to date on your device? Do you get the same issue when connected to Wifi / Connected to mobile data? Apart from it being slow to login on times, i've never had any issues with the app.

    This happens to me as well. Every now and again it will not open. If I switch my Iphone ( latest IOS installed) off and on again that usually solves it.
