i hate the surveys that say you are not the right fit when you have spent some time answering. Why not screen me out quickly

haha, same for me, I guess they finally fixed it! Not that it makes a difference, I suppose the pages loaded a tad quicker before if nothing else!

They still seem to play around with the rewards as well. Got 6, 9 and 16 SB this morning for the 3 searches coming to 31 SB. The first one was 5Sb recently.

Apart from paying maybe 10 or more times better for 4 wins, search used to be much more random in the payouts per win (maybe because there were so many different values to win)

I remember people getting as much as 100SB for a search win, and posting the screenshot to the forum.

I only joined around a year ago when MSE had the offer of I think £20 for £10 earned so I don't know the glorious times you reference and frankly it was also the first time I came across SB in general. I only signed up because MSE promotion gave me ensurance this is not just another scam site promoting and promising you unicorns but you end up with donkeys

Apart from a signing up bonus (often 300 sb)  normally signing up through a link earns 10% for life - the easiest way to earn from SB and a lot better than less than £1 an hour.
You could earn a passive £60 plus a month from mobile apps several years ago and MSE haven't updated the survey guide to reflect the massive lost earnings potential - surveys have generally always been poor payers but the reward has probably dropped at least twice.

True, the only surveys I do are the quick yougov ones. SB actually restricted my surveys I found out recently, must have clicked at some point something when I tried them out and there must have been some inconsistencies they think. Not bothered to get it reactivated. I only do the free games, the 3 searches, daily survey and daily trivia. That's 10-15 min a day for it all max.
