Easement Scottish power
I have been offered a sum of money from Scottish Power for overhead lines for lines that skim along my hedge near the public, there is a line that gives me power that travels overhead up my driveway. I got the offer through a Chartered Surveyors. I must stress I am not to bothered or want comments such as don't use these type of people etc. I am contented with amounts being offered plus their fees....
My question is ; I live in a semi rural area many on my road it would appear to have accepted these easements. Does anyone have any thoughts to how these easement/agreements can be detrimental to me? or if I was to sell my home, I have no intention selling at present if ever. I always show caution just my nature Thanks in advance...

Scottish Power will have the right to maintain their infrastructure whether you take the compensation, or not. It won't make any difference to a sale because the easement will show up in searches whether you are paid, or not.1

I just concerned myself that Scottish power that they could put up extra 'new' equipment, for example; in other parts of my garden. Solicitors confirmed on Friday they can't, just maintain current. Just being very careful....
