Advice required re council tax and landlord

Hi all,
I have a question that I'm hoping someone can help answer.
I rent a property by myself and as I am disabled I receive council tax reduction, single occupancy discount , and I am also in the care group of ESA and on UC, so I also receive housing benefit.
My landlord lives abroad but needs NHS treatment for a serious illness, that they cannot get in the country they live in.
They have asked if they can take over the council tax in their name to show UK residency. How would this work?
Would it not affect my benefits etc if I were to do this?
I feel bad if I don't help considering it's a health matter but I also don't want to get caught up in a mess

I am afraid you need to say no, if they are not living in the property it would be illegal to say they were.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.6

that would be fraud and you would be a party to fraud both of which are criminal offences5

As others have said this would be fraud with very serious consequences. You landlord should have known he wouldn’t be eligible for NHS care when he moved abroad and planned accordingly, not asked someone to commit fraud for him.3

As he is living overseas I hope you are witholding tax from your rent.

Does he know how ling the waiting lists for NHS treatment is, even for srious illness?
He would be using your address to commit fraud and you would be enabling him.2 -

If income tax has not been paid, then you will be potentially liable, as you or the letting agent are responsible for deducting it from your rental payment.gru88 said:

I wonder how many others regs your LL is breaking? Compulsory licensing, GSC, EICR are the usual suspects.
