I disagree with you about this. I've won more MD comps than anything else. I certainly don't enter them all. I do all the ones I want to enter every day. Usually 50 - 100 entries. Takes me 20 mins, to half an hour. I've won some lovely prizes. Some quite high in value and some not. Winning a small value prize can be very worthwhile. It's a little, occasional treat that I get from doing a few entries while watching TV. May not appeal to you, but each to their own.The_3rd_Zebu said:King_Mustard said:
Bit of an update.King_Mustard said:I think they are classed as Hearst Magazines competitions but 'MD' is often in the titles - no idea what that is short for.
I have entered 99% of these since late 2020 (that means literally thousands) and have never won a sausage.
Before I think they are a con, has anyone else won anything from these competitions?
After entering thousands of these MD competitions, I finally won one this month.
Interestingly, MAKU explained in the email with the voucher code that there were 35,000 entries to the competition (Good Housekeeping alone).
Just thought you may be interested in the numbers.I'm not at all surprised that there were 35,000 entries to win a pair of slippers ( x 5 ).These 'Mag Daily' comps require virtually no skill and attract people to come back and enter them each and every day. They can be entered rapidly but I'm sure some entrants who are spending many hours of their day going through the whole lists of comps being run on all the different magazines that run them. It makes me wonder if its really worth the effort?'When 'Mag Daily's ' feature decent prizes such as Holidays etc then they may even be getting even more entries than that 35,000 figure quoted for just a pair of slippers! If you really value your time then I think you stand more chance of winning the more usual comps where you are only allowed to enter it ONCE and ONCE only.I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apology
THIS IS ME!
When you talk down to others it says more about you than them.7 -
I agree with you @Blulu I've also had some great wins on these both big and small. So far this year I've had 5 wins from them. Definitely worth the little effort that it takes.Blulu said:

This is an interesting website for insights on all the various magazines for anyone who wants to have a look.
